Leisure Services

The Leisure Services program is an innovative, community-based, therapeutic recreation program serving a wide variety of participants.  A calendar of diverse and exciting activities is distributed on a monthly basis to clients served by the Knox County Arc as well as other citizens in the community who request it.  Activities are designed to allow participants a chance to personalize their own leisure schedules while increasing their independence, improving self-esteem, and generally enhancing their quality of life.  Activities range from weekly bowling outings to extended vacations that have taken participants to New York City, the Grand Canyon, Niagara Falls, Seattle, Mexico, and the Bahamas.  The current activity calendar can be located by clicking the “Leisure Services Calendar” link at the bottom of the page.
